ABSTRACTS

The 2020 International Cancer Education Conference, organized by the American Association for Cancer Education (AACE), the Cancer Patient Education Network (CPEN), and the European Association for Cancer Education (EACE), invites abstracts for Preconference Workshops, Oral Presentations, Poster Presentations, and Symposiums/Panels that emphasize cancer education curricula, programs and/or initiatives across the cancer continuum, in relation to the conference theme, Using Cancer Education to Address Social Determinants of Health. The World Health Organization (WHO) uses this definition of social determinants of health: "The social determinants of health are the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age. These circumstances are shaped by the distribution of money, power and resources at global, national and local levels. The social determinants of health are mostly responsible for health inequities - the unfair and avoidable differences in health status seen within and between countries."
